Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji ki fateh.

First of all I would like to say that this is a very well done site with lots of information on all issues concerning the Sikh religon and everybody is doing a wonderful job. I live in Houston, TX. Im 17 and go to the gurudwara everyday and am amrit tari. There is a Sikh community here, but not as much as there is in say Toronto or London. What i want to ask is, the gurudwara i go to is called Nanaksar. Its not affilated with Nirankaris, but it's different then most gurudwaras. My grandparents have been going there all their life and my parents and so on. The "common" gurudwara, i feel, has lots of drama going on and too much politics are involved, that people dont get the time to meditate and pray. Ive been raised in California, so i have done my fair share of bad things. These nanaksar gurudwaras, are run based on the Mariada that Guru Gobind Singh Ji left for the Sikhs. They have Sukhmani Sahib starting at 1 30 till 3:30 in the morning. Then from 3:30 to 6:30 there is kirtan. Also they have kirtan every evening from 5:30 to 8:45. And the kirtan they do is different from the regular kirtan. They recite the shabdas and sing the "main verse". It's very diffuclt to explain, but there is one in Toronto and Calgary, one in Fresno and Houston, two in England, one in Africa, and the rest are in India. The bahengums that do kirtan perform all the duties and live at the gurdwara, only moving when Baba Ji asks them too. What i mean by Baba Ji is the high high priest of the gurudwara. Baba Ji Ishar and Baba Anand Singh Ji were examples of these people. Also i have witnessed a lot of Unusul experiences that are in the Sikh religon, but most people dont know about, such as Ghosts or sprits, unsual events, witnessing of Guru Gobind Singh Jis Shaeed, and so forth. What i am saying is that have you heard of these gurudwarai, and if not i strongly recommend you go and pay a visit. Everything is done according to the mariada. Im actully in school right now so there isnt much time left, but if you reply i will write back with your questions if any. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Guru Ang Sang
