HI MY NAME IS AMMAN SINGH, IV RECENTLY MOVED TO THE WALSALL AREA WITH MY FAMILY. EVRYTHING WAS GOING FINE UNTIL I STARTED TO VISIT MY LOCAL SIKH TEMPLE. IM NOT A AMART-TARI, BUT I DO HAVE A GOOD KNOWLEGE OF SIKHI, AND I DO BELIEVE IN WAHEGURU. IV VISITED MANY GURDWARA OVERS THE YEARS, BUT NEVERHAVE I SEEN SUCH ABUSE OF ONE UNTIL I GOT TO WALSALL. I NOTICED THAT IT IS NOT A VERY BUSY TEMPLE, WHICH LED ME TO BELIEVE THAT THE MAJORITY OF SIKHS IN WALSALL DO NOT VISIT AND PRAY ENOUGH OR AT ALL. AND WHEN I DID SEE PEOPLE IN THE BABA JIS ROOM WHY THE HELL ARE DEY ALWAYS TALKIN AMONST EACH OTHER. THE OTHER THING I NOTICED IS THAT THE LANGAR HALL IS BEING USED AS A SOCIAL CLUB/PARTY HALL FOR BIRTHDAYS, I WAS DISCUSTED AND SADENED TO SEE THIS GOING ON. ALOT OF DA LADIES JUST GO THER TO SIT AROUND AN TALK RUBISH ALL DAY. WHY DOES SOME ONE NOT PUT A STOP TO THIS.. I WANT TO BUT DO NOT KNOW HOW.. PLEASE ADVISE..
This seems to be a common experience. Perhaps there is another Gurdwara for you to go to where you can find peace and inspiration. You sound like you need some upliftment. Meditate at home with your nitnem and simran and just go to the Gurdwara after, to bow to the Guru. Then do not get embroiled in the thoughtless activities in the Gurdwara.SK
