Summary of Question: | Are Sikhs Allowed To Drink? |

I have just one short answer. At the moment I'm researching about Sikh culture.
Are you allowed to drink alcohol? I already read that it can take one apart from master. Is that a rule or was that just one subjective opinion?
Thanks a lot

Sat Nam! Sikhs do not drink alcohol, nor use any intoxicants.
Drinking alcohol kills your body. It takes away your inner power and makes you live in pain. The mind loses its positivity. The heart and the liver become enlarged, and the crown lotus (tenth gate) cannot open.
As Sikhs, we leave all intoxicants behind and drink the honey of God's Name instead.
