VAAHEGUURUU JI KA KHALSA

VAAHEGUURUU JI KI FATEH

hi my name is sonia kaur and i was just wondering something. i have friends who are baptised and i was wondering your advice on something. they don't have the BASIC knowledge about Sikhi and i was just wondering if it would be my place to tell them that swearing, gossip, etc etc is wrong and they should change their ways for the better. i feel veru uncomfortable around them whenever they do stuff like that, simple stuff they should know not to do, since they are Guru's Sikhs. can you help me with this please. thanks

Sat Nam,
If you are good friends with these people and it is normal for you to correct them like that, then there should be no problem. Just remember to approach them with compassion and not from a place where you are correcting them because you are better. It is easy for people to misunderstand a situation where they are being told they are doing something wrong. Let them know that you have seen some of the things they do and share your feelings in a nuetral way. Also, there is a possibility that they will not take your advice, so be prepared for that as well.
