Yes. Everything in the illusory world (Maya)has a beginning and an end. The only thing without end is the One Creator which has no time or space.
God created the universe as a game, to have something to do. Dharma gives us the rules of the game and how to master it. No one is required to practice religion or dharma. Only those who are ready to transcend the illusion even bother. The rest are just marking time.
