Why is it that most of the soldiers sent to fight in the Kargil issue were Sikh?

Sat Siri Akaal. I don't know the answer to your question, but I once heard a well-placed Punjabi official affirm that Sikhs do indeed dominate in the forces sent to Kashmir.
