Summary of Question:Clarification Needed Desperately

Yesterday a very close friend of mine visited me after a very long time. We are very close, she is dating a Muslim guy. I don't want to interfere with her becuase i like to be supportive of it since she really is in love with him enough to change her religion for him. Both of us are born sikhs, she maintains her hair, but plucks eyebrows, shaves legs etc. I find that to be of double standard. Yet beside all that, we seem to disagree on whether sikhs are allowed to eat meat. I refused! I said absolutely not, but she insists that it isn't anywhere in the GGS. Therefore i emailed a link from your site (which is great) where you had mentioned a line from GGS from Guru Nanak Dev Ji Sahib clearing stating meat shouldn't be consumed. Now I follow the Radha Soami path , because every sikh i have known has been of double standard. Either drinking or eating meat. I still regularly attend Gurdwara Sahib, and do path. But my request to you is that please tell me of any other resources that indicate that sikhs shouldn't eat meat. And if i am wrong anywhere in this scenerio then please advise. Any help is strongly appreciated. Thanks!!! Again i love my friend like a sister! I dont want this to create some hostility between us but i would like to know the facts.

Dear one,
Please do not feel so desperately. You can do a search on the Youth Forum and find many many resources addressing this topic.

The Guru says that to debate on "to eat meat or not eat meat" is a waste of your focus. Please do your search here to find your answer.
