Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

What is destiny anyways? I can't seem to get my head around the concept of destiny. In the SGGS it is said on our foreheads is written our destiny, but we are given the free will to make choices.

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Philosophers have debated this issue for centuries! So, this is not an easy concept. Here's a very simple way to look at it: Destiny is the possible, potential best outcome of your life. It is not "fate." Free will enables us to make choices that either serve to fulfill our destiny or take us farther from it. Prayer and the grace of the Guru enable us to know God's will and to follow it, instead of our egos, thus fulfilling our Destiny. someone else may have a much better explanation, but perhaps this will make some sense.
