Firstly, I would like to say thank you for this web site and the seva you are doing.
My question is regarding photographs of the SGGS. I have searched the web site but can only find answers to questions regarding pictures of our Gurus. My dilema is this; last year my family and I went to Panjab and in that time we visited Siri Harmindar Sahib. Whilst we were there we took a photograph of the handwritten SGGS, which is open on a particular page.
Recently, I put the photo up near my dresser, however, was later told by a relative that, I shouldn't have taken the photo in the first place and secondly, the SGGS will never rest now as it is open in the photo.
I have many pictures of the Gurus, however, as the SGGS is a living Guru, I wondered if the rules regarding pictures were any different. Also, I do not keep my head covered unless I am doing prayers, so do this further complicate the matter?
I am concerned by this and seek your guidance on this matter.
Regards
Manjet

Dear one,
I have no problem with you having a photo or picture of SGGS in your home. I have them in my home and love to see the Guru and find great inspiration from this.
The opinion of your relative is their personal opinion. That's it!
Blessings to you,
