Summary of Question:Guru Nanak As One Creator
Category:The Sikh Gurus

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa,

Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
“Aap narayan kaladhar jag mein parwario”
In these lines bhai gurdas ji clearly states that Guru Nanak is Allmighty God Himself.
But some satak pursh (prabandhak of gururdwara) say openly in the gurudwara that it is wrong to say so because, in the first pauri of japji sahib it is given that God is “Ajuni” (He does not take birth).
But guru nanak dev ji was not born.
Sant Gyani Kartar Singh ji clearly tells in his speech that any avtar does not remain in the woman’s womb for nine months but the body gets parkashat after it is born and afterwards the body of elements (sand, water, fire, air and sky) vanishes .What only remains is a body of maya which appears as a human physical body to a normal person(not one with Him).
I have a firm belief that Guru Nanak Dev Ji is Allmighty Himself but the problem is that how can I convince these people , because they do not believe in any sant , but they only believe in Guru Granth sahib and - they say - in Guru Granth sahib nowhere is written that guru nanak dev ji is Allmighty himself.(??)
Can anyone help me?
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa,
Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
Waljinder Singh

Sat nam. Good thing you are not succeeding, for you misunderstand Guru Nanak and the entire SGGS with this thinking.
Guru Nanak is clear in his banee that he had the EXPERIENCE of the Divine. You must read Sidh Gosht carefully and understand that when asked who his Guru is, Guru Nanak replied "Shabd Guru is my Guru." It is through Shabd Guru one has the experience of the Universe within. Having this experience can be described by one having it as being God Himself. Nanak never meant that to be understood that he, Nanak, is the One Creator of the Creation. Nanak began the compilation of Bani that became the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. Why else would every page of Siri Guru Granth say "Ik Ong Kaar" and then say that such a Creator is only understood by Guru's grace? The entire SGGS is an explanation of Ek Ong Kaar Sat GurPrasad.
Recommend you make a thorough study of the entire SGGS by reading it out loud, instead of latching on to one single shabd and your translation of the shabd to say that Guru Nanak is the One Creator of the Creation. Guru ang sang,
-DKK
