Firstly, as Khalsa do not react in fear to the events of September 11th. You are a daughter of Guru Gobind Singh and must maintain this with faith that Guru Ji will perfectly guide your life.
In regards to Jamraj; it is not a question of having physically taken Amrit or not, but a question of having mentally immersed yourself in the love of the Lord (which is sweet and after whose sweetness Amrit was created). The Guru says that those who do not lovingly attach themselves to the Lord will suffer in births and deaths. This is just a fact of the universe, if you become one with the Lord, you become One with the Lord. If you don't, you remain separate. The Lord is said to merge those with him who lovingly perform his service and sing his praises. You are doing these things.
Do not be afraid, have Faith in the Guru's love for you and protection of you. Do not feel bad about yourself if you cannot read your 5 Banis every day, the point of the Banis is to have a way to remember and love God. If you are working toward this goal, that is a good thing. Yes, an Amrithdhari should try to read their banis daily but Guru ji is not turning anyone away, they are just one of the many tools Guru ji has given us to guide us through our lives. The real point is to love God.
Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa, Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fathe.
