Dear sir,

what really are we human. Why do the people says that a person is born with a sin. Why is it that we sometime know that God exist in us yet we enjoying doing sin. We learn that all human are equal yet we look down at people. We from small learn that God live in everyone but still we hurt people. What does Guru Granth says about these kind of people and what are the ways out for them. One of my friend he want to stop drinking and smoking but he can't stop them. What does Guru Granth Sahib says about these point. How is the way or what are the ways that can make people turn themself to God. Please let me anf the rest of the world know the answer of this question.
1 WHen we are in the world of sin and we realize that it is wrong what are the way that can change us. What does SGGS says about this point.
When we sin we enjoyed ourself, but when we try to change ourself it is like the hell. It is hard so what really SGGS tell us to do at this stage of life.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

Sorry for the delay. You can answer these questions for yourself by studying Guru Nanak's Japji and Guru Arjun Dev's Sukhmani Sahib. Your questions are all answered in Siri Guru and a Sehej Paath reading of it (in English and/or Gurmukhi with Punjabi translation) will tell you this. Manmohan Singh translated Siri Guru into both punjabi and english in 8 volumes. That may help you.

You can go elsewhere on this site http://www.sikhnet.com/s/GuruGranthSahib and click on the link for Japji Sahib for a wonderful English translation of Japji. Japji summarizes all that is in Siri Guru Granth. Guru Arjun told his Sikhs that when they couldn't keep (what was then) the Adi Granth, all they needed was Sukhmani to read daily, and they would know what all is in (what we now know of as) Siri Guru Granth Sahib.

Siri Guru is not fatalistic, it doesn't assume that someone who drinks will always drink. Rather, it tell the drinker to change his or her ways and remember God's Naam, and (in time) the karma of drinking will be wiped clean and the person will change his/her life. So, clearly this means that the drinker has to make a concious effort to change; no one ever said that changing bad habits is EASY. For every small step one takes towards Guru, Guru takes 1000 steps towards that person.

Guru ang sang,
-DKK
