Whoa!! i think you needed to figure urself out before you got into the engagement. Marriage is a union, if you pay close attention to the "Lavan" the 4 shabads the ragis sing during wedding ceremony you will see that they are about the union of the soul with God. Thats why the sacred words are used to unite a man and woman. Please think before you make a decision, you dont want to ruin someones life, he can learn english, he can adapt to the canadian culture. I think you are scared of life time commitment to someone you dont know. I am not against arrange or love marraige. I think a marriage needs faith, commitment, honesty and compromise to make it work. Please break your engagement off if you dont see yourself doing these things. He will change for his wife, men & women do that! the rest is upto you, if u dont see urself commited to this man, that spare him & urself & ur families the pain and humiliation.
