Hi, I was wondering... You know when paathis are doing paath at the gurdwara. Why do they sway something over the guru granth sahib evvery few second?

And I posted a question earlier and i was hoping u could answer it soon pleasee, i think its been about a week or so thnx.

(REPLY) Sat Nam. The "something" being waved over the Siri Guru Granth Sahib is called a Chauri Sahib. Kings, sitting on the throne used to have an attendant waving such a thing over them. This reminds us of the royalty, the sovereignty of our Siri Guru Granth Sahib, our Living Guru. SP (sorry, I don't know what your previous question was.)
