Summary of Question:Why sikhs practice cast system?
Category:Sikh Practices

sarda sahib,

i have asked u the same question even before....u said tat v don't and this is an alian concept.i am very well aware of rhe sikh rehat and that guru gobind ended this on baisakhi 1699 itself, but u know we not totally out of it.You can many time see sikhs refering themselves as jat sikhs, ramgaria and so on.i have visited england and there they have gugdwara mnamed as ramgaria gurdwara
.you see that such kind of things express only cast.even your website asks for surname in order ot rigister myself, and surname definitely tells your cast and nothing else
in your metrimonial sections sikh men and women call them selve as jats etc.So you definitely can't ignore that .YOU have to do some thing to root that out.I myself have decided to discard my suname and limit my name to daljit singh or add khalsa to it.But you know this needs a collective effort and i by self can't root it out.YOu can do that via net.So kindly reply

This is a very important point that you have raised.
You are absolutely correct with your observations about the use of caste references among the Sikhs. This is a very limited way of approaching one's faith in God and Guru.

You are correct to take on the exclusive surname of Singh or Khalsa. Many of us are doing that as well.

Keep up with your devotion to the truth...that is what a Sikh is. God bless you.
