I AM DISAPOINTED WITH NOT RECIVING AN ANSWER TO MY QUESTION I HAVE WAITED VERY PATIENTLY FOR YOUR RESPONSE. THE LAST TIME I ASKED MY QUESTION I ASKED THAT ANYTHING THAT YOU MAY KNOW WOULD BE APPRECIATED THAT MEANT REFERRING ME TO ANY SOURCES IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW THE ANSWER TO MY QUESTION. THE LEAST YOU COULD AHVE DONE WAS E-MAILED ME TELLING ME THAT YOU DON'T HAVE AN ANSWER FOR ME SO THAT I COULD HAVE STUCK WITH WHAT I BELEIVED TO BE TURE. IF HOWEVER YOU ARE IN THE PROCESS OF ANSWERING MY QUESTION BY DOING RESERACH I APOLOGIZE FOR BEING SO RUDE THEY ONLY REASON THAT I AM SO ANXIOUS TO GET AN ANSWER IS THAT THIS INFO. IS FOR A PROJECT THAT I MUST COMPLETE IN ORDER TO PASS MY COURSE. BY THE WAY I HAVE CHEKED THE LIBRARY AT THE DARBAR SAHIB IN MY TOWN AN CAME UP EMPTY HANDED SO YOU CAN SEE HOW YOUR REPLY IS URGENT. Dear Mr. Dhillon,

I understand how you might be angry, but please take it easy, there is not a twenty four hour watch here. Did it occur to you that we might have all gone on vacation. I'm sorry to put it to you this way but your impatient demands warrant it. I'm apologizing now for not making sure that your question was answered immediately. Please forgive us. All of us here that spend our time answering questions, do it for the love of helping. None of us are paid and all of us already have full time jobs. Please try to consider this in the future.

Now as to your question. I dont think that there is any way to really relate from an eastern philosophy directly to Darwins theory. You understand that Darwins theory was the change or evolution of a species through the survival of the fittest. Sikhism does not deal with this issue. Guru Nanak Dev Ji did say this " Things are born out of sweat". There is no concept in the Sikh religion that is relatable to the Darwinistic theory of life. Basically it comes down to the accepted ideas of the origin of the universe that were and have been prevalent in Indian Mythology and science. These ideas are Hindu in origin. But not so much are they Hindu as they are Indian. As far as survival of the fittest is concerned it is a clear thing in our religion that we are to defend the weak. Therefore even then survival of the fittest as a way of life is clearly something that has been rejected by the Guru's.

I suppose we could go into a deeper analysis, but, I think that should answer your question. There is no relation in the Sikh religion to Darwins theory. Understand it is not because Sikhism is not knowledgable about the earth and science etc. It is because our religion comes out of the science of spirituality and not the evolution of mankind physically. Guru Nanak DevJi was teaching man to evolute spiritually and how to be Human Beings not about where or how we developed into Human beings. It is the same in all of the other Religions. I mean look at the Bible. Adam and Eve, that says it all.
