Summary of Question:Connecting To Our Waheguru
Category:Meditation
Date Posted:Wednesday, 8/14/2002 3:13 PM MDT

Medidation over Gurbani is the point where we begin.

We align our thought processes and control our emotions
such that instincts can no longer override our right decisions.
This is extremely hard to achieve. I wish to know about someone who
has successfully achieved this and progressed to the highly unknown
"Maharas" state and remained stable beyond this, in recent years.
I am eager to know how it must feel to connect to God who is
Extra-dimensional and infinite in every good way, from our limited
senses and reach ?

Sat Siri Akal.

If you want to connect to God, connect to what lives inside your own heart. The Guru teaches us that our own hearts are the true abode of God. Our mental concepts of God can be fantastic, but they stretch us outside of ourselves and ultimatley turn God into a mental imagination that we can never touch or experience. Guru Nanak writes, "The drop of water is in the ocean and the ocean is in the drop of water." You are the drop of water. Meditate to open your own heart and find the ocean within it.

All love.
