Summary of Question:Re: y do males and females sit on diff sides of tha gurudwara

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa,
Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
Gurbar Akal.

If I could add to my fellow learned Gursikh's response to this query, my understanding of this separation by gender in the Darbar Sahib is related
to the need for us to abandon all ties to this Earthly plane in order to
elevate and immerse our souls in the remembrance of the Almighty, without
distraction.

In short, it is to enable us to be at one with the Creator.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa,
Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
