No. It's not correct. The namdhari Sikhs follow a living Guru. Thus they have a vested interest in 'proving' that 10th Guru gave the Guruship to a person, not to Siri Guru Granth Sahib. 40 million or so Sikhs worldwide who follow Siri Guru Granth Sahib should be proof enough that Guru Gobind Singh gave the Guruship to Siri Guru Granth Sahib.

THe namdharis also ignore the fact that FROM GURU NANAK on, the guru of the 10 Gurus was SHABD GURU. Read Sidh Gosht. The yogis asked Guru Nanak who his guru is and he told them 'shabd guru.' (FInd it in Ramkali raag around ang 935 or 938.

Please look at the wide variety of sikh sites, many of which discuss 'mainstream' Sikh history, by starting at http://www.sikhseek.com.

guru fateh!
