MELBOURNE, Australia – April 17, 2008: Sikhcess™, a worldwide community service based organization dedicated to creating positive change by bridging cultural, socioeconomic, and religious divides, has announced the launch its ‘Bundles Of Warmth’ clothing campaign, the nation’s largest initiative of its kind to help needy men, women and children.
On May 10, 2008, Sikhcess volunteers in Australia plan to collect and distribute blankets, jackets, and other winter clothing items to homeless and needy in Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. The organization collects and delivers all donated items directly to those in need.
How you can help:
Donations of blankets, jackets, socks, hats, gloves, scarves, and other clothing should be directed to Ms. Amarpreet Kaur (email@example.com)
“Sikhcess takes an active approach to public service by creating volunteer opportunities with the goal of enhancing quality of life for all humankind,” stated Mr. Amit Singh, Executive Director of Sikhcess. “The outpouring of excitement we’ve had for this campaign is overwhelming, however, as those in shelters and on the streets struggle through the most frigid months of the year, we must provide them with real aid; we must mobilize all the support and donations we can gather in order to help them cope,” Mr. Singh continued. “I urge anyone who is able to assist us with the ‘Bundles of Warmth’ campaign to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will ensure that your donated winter clothing items are delivered directly into the hands of those who need them most.”
Dedicated to creating positive change, through in this instance, helping the homeless, Sikhcess™ is reaching out by distributing blankets and winter clothing items to homeless people across Australia.
Sikhcess is best known for its ‘Feed The Homeless’ campaign, which spread across North America with extraordinary coverage within a very small amount of time, and has now expanded globally. The organization’s next campaign is set to take place on June 14, 2008 with volunteers ready to distribute individual food packages in four continents across the world, including Australia, North America, Europe, and Asia.
Working to help address homeless hunger, Sikhcess has taken ‘Langar’ (or ‘Free Community Kitchen’) to those on the streets, on a global level. Volunteers throughout the world distribute freshly prepared individual food packages to the homeless and needy.
The Sikh institution of ‘Langar’ was started by the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak. It is the only free kitchen of its kind in the world, collectively serving millions around the globe each year, regardless of gender, social standing, caste, color, religious affiliation, or beliefs. Through this ideal of equality, the tradition of Langar expresses the ethics of sharing, community, inclusiveness, and oneness of all humankind.
Inquiries for donations of food and supplies for distribution to the homeless should be directed to Donations@Sikhcess.com or to Mr. Amit Singh at +1248-990-1245
