Hello I was looking through your forum and some things I read did not seem right to me. These are as follows the question about eating meat or not eating meat, in the holy guru granth shaib it does not say that you can or cannot eat meat. If people believe that you are not allowed to eat meat why do me drink milk when we are born , the same goes to all living things that need milk when are born. Then also why do women produce milk? Also the answer given about people who eat meat they have trouble when doing path which is all wrong.

The point I make is why do people do divas with desi ghee and people eat desi ghee. And is it not a bigger crime when people deprive the young calf of drinking it?s mothers milk ain?t that a bigger crime as you hurt that animals atma, as you are depriving the animal. What is ghee made of the answer from the fat of the animal. Also if meat eating is so wrong then why are we born from flesh why must we turn to the flesh to bring life in to the world.

I feel it is a choice of the individual if they wish to eat meat or not there is no decree that states that you must or must not eat meat.

The choice is of the individual.

There are too many people who make factions and lead people astray

Sat Sri Akal,

In Pauri 18 of Japji Sahib it says very simply:

"Asankh galvadh hath-eaa kamaahe."
Countless people are cut-throats who kill and have earned a murder.

This says in very simple terms not to kill anything. When drinking milk, an animal does not need to be killed. When we get milk from a cow, we are not depriving her offspring of milk. A cow can give milk whether or not her children need it. Once you start regularly milking a cow, it will keep on producing milk until you stop (regardless of how old the calf is).

Using an animal for food is not wrong if you do not kill it or treat it in an inhumane manner.

Desi ghee is made from milk, thus the animal does not need to die.

It is a choice of the individual whether he or she wants to eat meat or keep his/her hair, etc., it's just whether the individual chooses to be Sikh or not.

Gur Fateh,
HSD
