WHY IS IT THAT WHEN I SHAVED (BALD, NOT NOW) MY HEAD, NEARLY EVERYONE I MET (SIKH) WAS LIKE SHOCKED, LIKE I HAD DONE SOMETHING DEEPFULLY WRONG.

OK NOW I KNOW UR NOT MENT TO CHOP UR HAIR, BUT I DONT DRINK, SMOKE OR GO CLUBBING AND IVE STOPPED BEING AN VIOLENT IDIOT. I TRY TO BE THE BEST SIKH I CAN BE YET SIKHS STILL SAY ITS WRONG TO SHAVE UR HEAD, BUT I SAY WHEN U DRINK UR DOING THE SAME THING IF NOT WORSE AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

SEX! ALOT OF SIKHS AT UNI (I REPEAT ALOT) JUS GO AROUND AND F*** WITHOUT A CARE AND CALL THEM SELFS THE REAL SIKHS, AND OTHER RUBBISH. I BELIVE IN MEETING THE RIGHT PERSON AND WAITING AFTER THE WEDDING. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IS THAT RIGHT? IS IT RIGHT/WRONG FOR A MAN AND A WOMAN TO GET MARRIED AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN WITH NUMEROUS PARTNERS?

AM I DOOMED IN GODS EYES FOR NOT WEARING DOING THE 5K'S AND SHAVING MY HEAD?
AM I BAD SIKH?
WHY DO SIKHS ACCEPT

i) SEX BEFORE MARRIGE WITH DIFFERENT PEOPLE
ii) DRINKING
iii) CLUBBING

i) and iii) are most confusing.

Thank you for your time.

Its all about consciousness. How do you feel when you have long hair, as opposed to short hair? Personally, I feel stronger and more centered when my hair is long, tied up in a rishi knot and covered with a turbin. I feel less centered and more scattered when my hair is down and uncovered. I feel more connected to the Guru, regal and as His child when my crown/turbin in on. Sikhi is not going to live unless we tune into the experience of why we do the things we do. I don't drink because I don't want to alter my consciousness in a negative self-destructive way. Meditation also alters my consciousness...in a very positive, focused and clear way. Sex before marriage - its the same thing. Do I want to allow my consciousness and behavior to abuse myself and others by having sex without the commitment? Experience for yourself why we have the rehit we do. Inspire others with your example.
