i dont know how to begin because i know i have done wrong, but i had little choice.
after september 11 i ca,e to the United states i had gained admission here but found siginificanr backlash with regards to hair and beard i soon got my hair cut because i could not have gone back to india after sepnding so much of my parents money and remaining in the united states with hair was getting tough. So i got my hair cut , but i feel very guilty about it i want to grow my hair back but logical advice says if i have done it i might stay this way for the time till my studies are complete and then i can return to india and my religion but still the guilt complex is killing and i feel i have offended the guru . If every one was to be so stupid as me sikhi wount not be able to survive. I am sirry and want to know penence i can perform. I am in a fix that Guruji will take me for a sikh or not.Please do reply..

The answer is simple brother. Start re-growing your hair today. Start wearing your turban again today. Do not fell guilt, as that only prevents further growth.

The Sikh form is beautiful. Many successful people in this country and many others maintain their form after September 11th and are prosperous and happy.

Remember that they used to pay 10 rupees for our heads. What is the backlash after September 11th compared to our heritage? Have courage. Guru will provide exactly what is needed. KEEP UP!!!
