Sat Sri Akaal ,

I read the questions regarding eating Meat. As someone of u have written that when a sikh need to eat something to keep ur self suriving , u can eat meat and if u dont have any other choice u can also eat Halal Meat.

So does that means that we can go out of our relgion rules if we have no other option. ????????

So are we allowed to change our relgion from Sikhism to Muslimism , or Christianity when we have no other option ??? I mean like Our 10th Guru have suffered a lot. Mughal gave them a very hard time , they have to sacrifice there whole family , there kids - but they didn't turned to Muslims.

Guruji's son's - sahibzade's , sacrificed there own life but they didn't turn Muslims .... they were knowing that it is there last option .. if they will deny Mughals - they will be punished hard , so why didn't they choose to become Muslim ?

If our relegion says that u can go outof relegion if u are going from ur last option .. so does that means that SahibZade's went out of religion ???

I know that u might find my question lil offensive - but i just wana know that are we realy allowed to pick our last option , or we are ORDERED to die but not go for last option ?

If they were having option of becoming a Muslim , why didn't they became a Muslim ? Is Muslimism is a bad relgion ????? Out Motto is to be a good person with a good soul , so is it not possible if a person will be a Muslim. Does is says that Sikhism is more good then Muslism ??

I am sorry for all the above , but i need to know about that.

Regards

Dear SSN:
Sat Siri AKaal. Halal meat if forbidden to meat eating Sikhs because animals killed in the halal manner are not killed swiftly, but slowly. So for the animal it is a torture and when Sikhs eat such meat, it is as if they partake in this.

As for why the 2 young Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh refused the Mughal who offered them life in exchange for conversion: The lesson here is NOT that Islam is bad. No. Nor did the young saints say that. Rather, they died because FORCED Islam (or forcing of ANY religion on a person) is wrong. The Sahibzadas died because so many before them had died, fighting for the FREEDOM to worship as they choose. In this case, they died for the freedom to be Sikh, but centuries before, people died for the freedom to be Christian.

Guru Gobind Singh in his Kabiyo Bach Benantee Chaupa-ee says that "everyone describes God differently according to his or her own understanding". So for the 2 Sahibzadas, they saw God through the Sikh eyes, and could not in their hearts be anything but Sikh, alive or dead. This is why they chose death over a life of forced conversion. And this is why, to this day, Sikhs do not evangelize or attempt to CONVERT anyone to their faith, because we fought so hard for this right to worship as we chose.
Guru rakha,
