In reply to the question about why parents fear their children having muslim friends. An an ideal society there should be no problems. However unfortunately this world is full of hatred, abuse and people taking advantage, this makes parents scared of who their children socialise or become close with.

1/ Muslims believe that Islam is the true religion and other religions are 'fake' and non-Muslims are 'infidels' (Kafirs). According to the qu'ran (www.ishwar.com) a "KAFIR" should be treated like a cattle

2/ Islam believes in "CONVERSION" as it considers non-Muslims as impure

3/ Unfortunately Muslim boys are taught in Mosques (in the UK for sure) to seduce Sikh and Hindu girls and bring them into the fold of Islam. This is not mere gossip but this has also been investigated by the police. The main organisation which spreads this poison to Muslim youths via mosques is the "Al Kaifa Group - Eyes and Ears of Islam"

4/ During Guru's time because the Mughals were brutal and cruel, Muslims were stigmatised to be cruel to non-Muslims (e.g. Taliban style)

5/ In 1947 Muslims killed Sikhs, BUT Sikhs killed Muslims etc.


Note/ Sikhi believes there is ONE GOD CREATOR OF ALL... Sikhs believe Allah/Waheguru/Ram/God is One and is dwelling in all the Creation

Muslims are our brothers and so are Hindus

However you need to consider the above points and that is where parents are coming from.

A true Muslim would not see Allah in all and know that a true Sikh and true Hindu are all the same. However ignorance, fanaticism and hatred have prevailed. For these reasons BE FRIENDS WITH ANYONE however BE AWARE AND CAUTIOUS of EVERYONE (whether Sikh, Muslim, Hindu).
