Sat Nam. I am curious as to why you are only looking for someone who is also hearing impaired? It would seem that it may be more important to find someone who has similar beliefs, interests, priorities in life...and who is sympathetic and interested in the deaf lifestyle. I am very ignorant to these matters, but it seems like being deaf does not necessarily need to be a prerequisite for your life's partner. There are visually impaired people happily married to those who are not. Isn't signing like a language? Maybe a prerequisite would be someone who knows signing or who would like to learn. I have a son who is deaf in one ear. Having hearing in one ear, he lives a hearing lifestyle, but because of his loss of hearing in one ear, he has always been a very sensitive person. What he was lacking in hearing, he has made up for in other sensitivities. This is part of what makes him so special. There is probably some one who would find you very attractive and appealing because of who you are, which includes
what you have gained from your hearing impairednesss. We all have handicaps of some kind or another. These handicaps or challenges in life make us interesting and even better people. And, you never know what life is going to bring you once you are married. Things happen. People lose a leg, get sick, lose a job, etc. Maybe it is better to marry someone with whom you can share on a deeper heart and soul level. Good Luck and may Guru guide you to your "right" partner in life. Humbly, Guru Terath Kaur
