Sat shri akal. I have a problem. I am a medical student, and need to go into surgery as part of my course. This often involves scrubbing in (washing our hands, and wearing green gowns, like on tv) but this requires me to remove my kada as it can harbour bacteria and endager the patient ( increased risk of infection). Please help me and tell me what i should do (ie take it off, or not scrub in)? Thanx

Sat Nam! Move your kara as far up your arm as it will go and tape it there, then scrub as usual. The kara remains under the sleeve of the gown.
