I have been trying to find out about the history of the Guru Granth Sahib Jee. I know there is a handwritten version at Harmandir Sahib but have been told this is not the original?. Help please.

Please search this forum using keyword "bir" and you will see a reply on this question. The query in mind is called "Original Sggs".

There is indeed a handwritten version of Siri Guru Granth Sahib at Harimandir Sahib. It is not the first ever written. I don't know who handwrote it, but it is 300+ years old, and still in use for Akand Paaths there.
If you search Sikhnet and read about the Golden Temple on this site, I think you wil find information on this particular bir.
