Summary of Question:Animals And Spritual Names?

Hello,

Thank you for everything you do for us. I have a question that may seem unusual, but wanted to ask whether it would be acceptable for a pet to have a spiriual name? I understand that the Guru Granth Sahib Ji is obviously aimed at humans and that the exclusion of particular names may be highly necessary, since spritual names are from the Guru Granth Sahib Ji I do not mean to be disrespectful but the reason why I came to this thought is because I am constantly calling esp for one of my pets (additionally animal numbers overcome human members in my family) and can imagine a positive vibe being created from the spritual name because of the frequency of pronouncing the name. For example to mention, the name daya which would remind one of kindness to humanity (as well as kareen). Thank you and have a nice day.

Sat nam. There is no edict against this. If you feel like it is appropriate to name your pet something spiritual, go ahead. Choice is yours.
Guru ang sang,
