If you think about it, you will have the answer yourself.
Is it not a part of our Sikh rehit to keep our body as God made it?
We don't cut our hair, shave, have cosmetic surgery, or anything else which is not medically necessary. Is not dying the hair altering the body? Besides having to do with the rehit, it is a question of vanity (pride) which is an error in our philosophy, along with greed, anger, lust and attachment. It is also a question of fear of growing old to want to hide one's gray hairs. It is my opinion that gray is beautiful, because it shows our well earned wisdom and status in life as a "wise person". Dying one's hair may also be a question of not accepting one self for who you are and how God has made you. Of course, there are much worse things one can do in life. So, after considering all of the above, and really examining your motivation, if you still really want to dye your hair or beard...its not the worst of errors in life. GTKK
