Sat Siri Akaal. If you believe as a Sikh and wish to fully observe Sikhi, then DO NOT cut your hair. Sikhi is about living in courageously. This is a test of your courage. Keep your hair. You may have to hire someone to come in to help you wash it if your in-laws won't. Or go to a hair salon for that purpose, and consider it a blessing.

So what if the other sisters/in-law trim their hair. That is THEIR choice. Don't bend to your mother in law just because she is your mother in law. It sounds like she could use someone to stand up to her once in a while! You have a beautiful gift. Instead of regarding it as a curse, bless it and chant waheguru every time you brush it!
