VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH

I have recently taken amrit , and I was wondering how much emphasis to put in regard to eating things which may contain meat/eggs? I have never actually eaten meat before, but if something has eggs in it (ex- chocolate bar, cake, mayonaise at Subway) I still have it. My question is: should I stop eating cake and have subs without mayo etc.? thank you for your time.

Sat Siri Akaal. This question HAS been addressed in this forum; please research it some. When the ingredients of food is out of your control, it is up to you to decide how extreme to be on this matter, such as, for example, you are being SERVED a cake at a non-Sikh friend's house. Where you have control of what goes in your food, then you should make every effort to avoid eggs.
