Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa

Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Respected Khalsa Ji

I respect all religions as our Gurus have tought us to, but I don't understand that why have we all lost that respect for our religion???
Sikhism is the best religion if one searches deeply. Now days we call ourselves true sikhs just for the sake. Do we actually know what 'Sikh' means? If we don't know what 'being a Sikh' means, I dont think we should call ourselfves Sikhs at all because that way we are just using 'Sikh' as a mere word, title and that is an insult, there is more to Sikhi than just a title. Look at the Cristians, they go around giving pamphlets door to door about their religion, they still have their Christian Pride, which is good, now look at the Muslims, they've got their pride. BUT WHATS HAPPENDED TO THE SIKHS???!!!

I know that there are alot in this world who really do have pure love and respect for Sikhism but I can see that most of us punjabis don't really care anymore. I mean the youngsters and adults. I don't understand why have we lost our Sikhi Pehchan???? Its a shame. Our Guru Sahibs have done so much for us. All the sacrifices, all the kurbanis, all the pain, courage. They did this for us and now when we go to the Gurdwara we just do a mutha tek thinking that Guru Granth Sahib Ji is just a Religious Scripture. No thats wrong because Guru Granth Sahib Ji is NOT JUST a Scripture, thats our Guru Himself. The 10 Patshahis, from Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Sri Dasam Pita Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji, the Soul of our Guru Sahibs is PRESENT in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Its there that Divine Soul is present. Guru Granth Sahib Ji is alive, thats Guru Nanak Dev Ji just in another form present between us today so that we can talk to our Guru Ji.

I would just like to say that lets not forget our SIKHI AND THE BEAUTIFUL SHAHEEDEES GIVEN BY OUR GURUS AND TRUE DEVOTEES ( Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Guru Teg Bhadar Sahib Ji, Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji, Panj Pyaray, Char Sahibjaday, Mai Bhago, Mata Gujri Ji, Bhai Mani Singh, Bhai Taru Singh, Bhai Dyal Singh and Brave Baba Deep Singh Ji and so many more...what about the kurbanis given by our Courageous Sikhs in 1984???, what about their blood? has it been all for a waste??? Our Guru Jis and so many more people have given Kurbanis and as far as i know i dont think any other religion has shed so much blood. What about in 1984 when the small babies of our Sikhs were thrown into the air and stabbed with NEJAS (spears)and shot with guns, the bodies of those children were cut into pieces and out of those peices of noble flesh made 'hars' and those were put around the necks of those Gursikh mothers. We all know our background and everything so WHY are we not caring???
I am sorry to say this that but if dont do something about this our Sikhi will diminish for sure one day and that would be such a shame. Lets not that make that tragic day come ever, lets prove Guru Gobind Singh Jis bachan ' RAJ KAREGA KHALSA'. Its our choice, lets make the right one.

LETS NOT LOOSE OURSELF IN MODERN SOCIETY AND FORGET THE TRUE MEANING OF OUR PRECIOUS LIVES. WE ARE HERE ON THIS PLANET FOR A REASON AND THAT IS TO MEET WAHEGURU. LETS SHOW THE WORLD THAT WHO WE REALLY ARE. LETS NOT FORGET THE WARRIOR LIKE SIKHI WE HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH. IF WE ARE BORN IN THE SIKH RELIGION LETS CONSIDER OURSELVES AS BEING VERY LUCKY. AND BEING GIVEN SUCH AN OPPORTUNITY TO REALISE WAHEGURU
LETS NOT SPOIL IT BY NOT CARING. LETS REVIVE THAT KHALSA PRIDE.
Please forgive me if I have offended anybody in anyway as that was not the purpose I wrote this. Feel free to give any feedback.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa
Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Your passionate remarks reveal how much you care and value your Sikh heritage. I think that not everyone has lost the pride of which you speak, and our hope lies in educating the younger generation by providing them with an understanding of the reality of the Guru's living presence -- so they realize it's not just ritual. Remember, there are thousands of us now in the world who have embraced the Sikh faith because we have been wisely taught about its technology -- in other words, how and why it makes our lives better, and we've had the EXPERIENCE! So do not despair, 960 million we shall be! Meanwhile, all we each can do is set an example, and try to share whatever we can to inspire each other to keep up along this blessed path.
