i m writing regarding punjabi girls ,most of them dont cover there heads which is a part of punjabi culture.they shoudnt copy indain women.there dress is saree and ours is shalwar kameez and that should be proper one,not those fashionable one's.i feel proud when i see any punjabi girls wear punjabi dress.not that they r weraing saree,jeans,and all that crap,short dresses.when they wear all this ,that's a shame.because indian culture is different and punjabi culture is different.in india now a days all there is no culture,itz like western.they r loosing there culture,but we dont want to fallow indian women,bcuz i cant see all that with punjabi girls.so parents at home should teel there kids from begining to cover them selves properly.i m proud to be a sikh punjabi not indian.i m 23 yrs old living in sydney from last 4 yrs.

(REPLY) Sat Nam. If Sikh girls only realized how they are perceived! Thanks for your comments. Maybe some girls reading this will realize that to dress gracefully, instead of following the "fashion" which is really degrading to women, is actually in their best interest. Many have gotten lost in maya. Yes, it starts with parents having values, and teaching those values to their children. It's going to take a lot of education to remind people of the importance of presenting ourselves gracefully. Thanks for expressing your opinion. SP
