hello, i am sikh girl and my age is now 17 years old and i have boy friend he is 20 years old. we both want to get married but i don't how can we get married. the thing is that he already told to his parent and reletives about me. and his parents are agree that he can get married with me. but now he wants me to tell my parents but i can't tell them because i scared of them. we love each other so much. now i live in USA and he is in India. i talk to him once a week. can some one tell me what can i do now. some one please help me.

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Well, until you are 18 you can't get married without your parents permission. Why hasn't the boy contacted your parents? Isn't that the correct procedure? Or, his parents should contact your parents. It's not up to you to tell them first, let the man who proposes to be your husband present himself and his proposal to your parents, and then see what happens. Blessings, SP
