sat shri akal

iam, a19 year old sikh boy from a religious family. my parents are very religious and i also i never trim my beard or hair from any part of my body
but my both sisters trim their hair , eyebrows, and wax their body hair
when i objected to this they told me its only boys, which should not cut their
hair girls are allowed. My parents also support them. And i also seen in my family , in my school, that there are boys who dont trim their beard but i never seen a single sikh girl who dont makes eyebrows or wax their body hair.tell
me does allowed sikh girls to trim and guruji had made khalsa for males
only. Today whole sikh world is making hue and cry on triming of boys but are they beware of the danger of sikh girls triming the hair, because these sikh will became mothers tommorow , will they be able to make their childs a proper sikh.
thank you

You are correct. It is not OK for Sikh girls or women to trim, cut or shave hair from their body. There is a huge double standard in Sikhism. You also notice that women are not wearing turbans much either.

A women is the first teacher of the child. She must be true and honest and practice the life of conscious living.....maintain her hair.

God bless you.
