Dear Sanjeet - is it Singh or Kaur?

I looked in a Punjabi dictionary and a glossary for the Siri Guru Granth Sahib and couldn't find your name. There is a wonderful Punjabi scholar here in Espanola, who use to be a professor at Guru Nanak University in Amritsar. He has a immense knowledge of the Guru and he is very devotional as well. I saw him tonight and asked him the meaning of Sanjeet.

He said that Sanjeet is two words put together. San meaning beautious or lovely and jeet meaning victory. Put it together and it means beautious(or lovely) victory. It is a very strong, powerful name, but it has a very soft lovely quality as well. It is a wonderful name.

Our name tells us our destiny in life. Now, you need to meditate on what Sanjeet means to you in your life. How can you live victoriously with grace and beauty? My name is Guru Terath Kaur (the Guru's place of pilgrimage). And I feel is it my destiny to be that place of pilgrimage or worship in all I do, and for others to feel that my presence and life is a place of pilgrimage for them. So, what does your name mean for you? We have our whole life to manifest our destiny. And if we forget our destiny, we need only to remember our name. That is why it is best not to be called nicknames. Your soul wants to hear the vibration and Naad of your name over and over again.
