Sat Sri Akal,

I just read this guy's problems and felt like responding to it. I really dont know how to handle this situation but I just want to tell him one thing that if he really wants to study further and change his status from taxi driver to something else then he still has time.

My little brother... You are just 24. You CAN do it. Cant you make your dad understand by love that this drinking is not doing anything good to him and to his family? If you are going to be strict with him then I dont think he'd listen to you but I guess with patience and love, he would probably listen to him. I know he hasnt given you any emotional support when you needed it and so you probably dont feel very connected with him either but I guess there's no harm in trying it last time. and if he's not ready to change himself then I guess moving out will be the only option left.

Anyways, all I want to say is that please start your studies again. It's very important if you really want to become a good person... good son... good husband... good father... and so on. You want your kids to learn good things from you. I know your dad is not a role modal for you but You CAN become a role modal for your next generation. I dont know if my reply will help you or not...

SSA.
