Waheguruji ka khalsa, wahegurji ki fateh!!!! On 10/8/02 a response to the question How much power does Bani have? was -Bani has the power to end the Kali Yug (The Age of Darkness) and restore the Sat Yug (the Age of Truth). It has the power to heal every disease. It has the power to awaken the soul to the reality of God and allow a person to attain the sublime state of fearlessness and the state of Jiwan Mukht - liberated while alive. Bani is a very powerful thing.

If this is true then why isn't there world peace or Sat yug???? Is is going to ever happen??

Because the power to create the Sat Yug lies with you. It has to start with you, first.

Meditate on Gurbani. Train your mind to live by the Guru's teaching. Train yourself to speak only in line with the Guru's teaching. Train yourself to see the world the way the Guru sees the world. When you do this, you will create the experience of Sat Yug, of the Age of Truth, in your own small way, in your own life. And people who are with you will experience the effect of a person living by truth, they will be more peaceful in your presence. Then, extend this to your family. If your parents, spouse, children live in genuine understanding of the Guru's teaching, if they see the world through the Guru's eyes - then your home will become a small pocket of Sat Yug. Then if other families do the same thing - you will have a community living in the Sat Yug. And slowly, it can expand outwards and upwards.

We are not subject to time and space. We create time and space with our prayers, intentions, words and actions. You cannot force the world to be different. But when you live as a Khalsa spiritual warrior, the world cannot force you to be different, either. Live in Truth. Be willing to die for Truth. It will inspire others and slowly, step by step, together we can create a world of peace and truth.
