Sat Siri AKaal. The sun of the planet earth is, technically, a star. When you look up into a clear night sky, how many stars do you see? Millions? Several of the planets of our solar system alone have moons. Scientists know there are other solar (solar means sun) systems, with planets with moons. So, Guru in the first reference you give is allowing that this universe is so vast, there are countless suns and moons. The second reference is to this planet only, with its single source of light, the sun, and the many seasons created by the rotation of the earth and the revolving of earth around the single sun.

Recommend you contact SGPC concerning your third query. www.sgpc.net. I do not know why they do a number of things there as they do.
Guru ang sang,
