Summary of Question:Why Are There So Many Religions?

I just had a question. I am wondering if there is only one god...and we are all his children, then why are there so many different religons in this world? I dont understand why god sent different holy men and created so many different religions, when according to most religons there is only one god. Most religons basically do teach the same concepts. It seems to me that over centuries and to this day..religion is the cause of many wars and conflicts in the world. ALthough it was not meant to, religion can cause divisions in society. People of one religon fighting with people of other religions. Look at the Jews and Muslims, Sikhs and Muslims(historically), Muslims and Christians, etc. I am not looking down upon religion, and have respect for Sikh religion, but I think it would have been alot easier if there was just one unifying religion in the world. I dont understand why god created so many different religions. If they are all created by god, then who's to say that practicing one religion is better or worse then practicing another religion. Ans if you can live your life as a good person and know that god is in you, an not follow a specific religion, what's wrong with that? Not sure if you can answer my question, but just wondering what your thoughts and views are on this matter. I would appreciate a simple answer. Thanks!

I really appreciated your question. It shows thinking toward the Aquarian Age, which is the Age we are about to enter in 11 more years. We are on the cusp of it right now. We are leaving the Piscean Age, which is the Age of territorial, possesive, "me consciousness", and division. The Aquarian Age is the Age of "WE consciousness," unity, knowing from experience.

In the past, I think people needed different religions and ways of worshiping the One God, according to their culture, history, the spiritual leaders of the time, etc, etc. But you are right. It would be much easier. Much pain and agony has happened because of religion. The important thing is for us to develop our relationship with our spirit, which is an internal experience. Religion is usually an outward experience, with dogmas, rituals, rules, etc. Sometimes those rituals can give us a spiritual experience, but many times they can take us away from our spirituality. I firmly believe that if we are ever going to have peace in this world, we need to have our own inner spiritual experience and honor the spirit/God in every other living thing. "If you can't see the God in all, you can't see God at all." Talk about your views with friends. We need to spread consciousness to everyone, so war and hate will some day stop. And when we do practice the rituals of our religions, do so for the experience they can give us of uniting with our inner God. God Bless you.

Humbly, GTKK
