Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh,

I have just recently taken Amrit and am in my 20's. To my dissapontment
i have found alot of my close aquantances have discouraged me and questioned
me on why i have done it. they want to put me down and make me
feel excluded and mock the system. i was very sadenned but tried to be
strong and not let their thoughts influence me. It is very hard at htis stage
because every single person i come accross has something horrible to say. its feels like the happiness i got (out of this world) when taking Amrit is dissapearing, and i dont want this to happen. im am trying to fulfill all that i
have been told for practsing as a Sikh. Please tell me what i can do to make
myself stronger and be able to face these people when i see them again. if there
is a shabad or particular line i can pray, i would be grateful if you told me please. i dont want other peoples values and opinions to come in between
my Guru and me. Please help me. Thankyou.

God bless you! The path of faith is sharper than a razor's edge. You are great and you can share your inspiration and upliftment with others. However, you are already finding out that your so called "friends" are not really friends.

Your true friend is your Guru. Develop this relationship. Stay away from the people who would fill your mind with the poison of doubt. Seek out those people who can uplift you and inspire you to your commitment of grace and to your excellance of Wahe Guru.

Recite "benti Chaupaii" Hamari karo hath de rachaa" 11 times each day for 90 days. Builds your self esteem and will protect you. Also, study voice and kirtan and start singing out loud to lift yourself and to feel joyful.

Remember, Guru Gobind Singh and Mata Sahib Kaur are with you for support. In the Name of the Guru...bless them, bless them, bless them(those that critisize you)and leave them.

Keep up to victory dear one.
