Sat Siri Akaal. These are caste denominations. Indian society is divided according to caste, and in India, observance of caste affects every level of society. I am not Indian so I cannot tell you what each caste means or represents. Guru made it clear that SIkhs are not to observe caste in any aspect of their lives, but it still happens.
