First of all I would like to thank you guys for helping the Sikh youth.
I just want it to ask that if it's ok to do phath, kirtan or even go to gurdawara while girls are menstruating. i want to know if there's anything written in the Guru grath sahib. I have heared lots of myths from my mom and relatives but i don't really believe what they say. I try to do phath everyday and i'm little confuse about this issue. so i thought it be nice if you guys can tell me, Since u have a lot of knowledge what gurus have said.
thank you in advance
(REPLY) Sat Nam. There is no restriction preventing you from doing path, going to Gurdwara, or any other type of worship during your monthly period. I believe in the Hindu tradition they used to isolate women during the menstrual cycle. We are not Hindus. Blessings, SP
