Summary of Question:Sudarshan Chakra Kriya
Category:General Sikhism

Sat Nam,

I am a student of Kundalini and have been practicing the Sudarshan Kriya, sans interruption, going on to 30 days as of the 18th of April. I don't have any words to describe what I am experiencing. Although I can say that it is quite positive. However, yesterday, I did feel an extreme rush/sensation within me, leaving me with a pretty significant headache and inability to sleep. I am not frightened, but is it possible for the Kundalini to rise whilst practicing the Sudarshan Kriya? Your answer would be most informative and appreciative. I thank you in advance.

I have also noticed the spelling of Sudarshan to appear as Sodarshan. Is there a difference?

Kindest regards,

Sat Nam
Monique

Sat Nam, Monique!

Yes, It is the same Kriya as is spelled "Sudarshan." There is no difference. It's very important to make sure you are doing this kriya correctly, so I have attached an instruction sheet to this reply. Please take a look at it and let me know that you are doing it in just this way. There are so many reasons that one can get a headache - since this only happened one time in 30 days, it is hard to know if it has anything to do with the meditation. Sodarshan Chakra Kriya is very powerful. It is very energizing. It is the highest Kriya and it cuts through all darkness. It will give you a new start in life. It cuts through all the barriers of the neurotic or psychotic inside-nature. This kriya is referred to by Bhagat Jai Dev in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib on p. 1106.

You are very blessed for keeping up!
