waheguru ji ka khalsa

waheguru ji ki fateh

I have a problem and hope you will help me in solving this.I have great belief in my gurus and the god. so i try to follow the teachings of my gurus. our gurus tell us to wake up early in morning at 3 am.so i try to wake up but i am not able to. everyday i set the alarm but i end up getting up late. i feel very guilty for this because i do not follow what my guru expect from me.even if by chance i wake up around 3 am after 30 minutes i feel sleepy and i am not able to complete my nitnem easily.is there any shabad in guru granth sahib ji or dasam granth or any sikh scripture that would help me in getting up early and taking control over my sleep in the morning.or there is any other technique.
i sleep around 10 pm.
hope you will help me.thank you.

Wahe Guru Ji ka Khalsa
Wahe Guru Ji ki Fateh!

Bless you for your efforts to rise in the Amrit Vela. It is always a struggle to create a new habit. I have two suggestions for you:

1. When you go to bed, recite Kirtan Sohila, then look at your clock and consciously see the time. Pray from your heart to Guru Ji and ask him to wake you at the time you wish to arise. When you awaken - do not hesitate or think about it! Just stretch, breathe deep, utter Waheguru! and GET UP immediately and do your ishnaan. Do not think. Just do.

2. If all else fails. Get an alarm clock that will play a cassette tape or CD and make a recording of YOUR OWN VOICE saying: "It's time to get up now. You want to get up. You have prayed to get up. Now is the time. Get up right away." Set the clock to play this recording at the time you wish to arise.

Your mind will not be able to argue with the sound of your own voice.

This has worked for me.
