I am aware that this is not a discussion forum, yet I feel that the response given in this answer is incorrect. Hence the question is repeated below with the original response:

Question

I'm just enter university newly, but as vegetarian i was having problem in finding for the right food.Antil i found nothing to eat,and that force me eat non-vege food for long as 3 weeks. Now im back as a vegetarian but i never ignore my 5 kekars and Banis .Am i still a amertari?

Answer
Yes,you are still amritdhari. Once you take Amrit, nothing can take that away from you. Nothing.

After one takes Khande Da Pahul (not Amrit - Amrit makes you immortal, but that is a gift from the Guru, at his discretion, after you work towards obtaining it by following the Gurus hukams, one of which is taking the Gurus Khande Da Pahul), the paanj Pyareas tell us about the rehat (code of conduct) that we are required to follow.

They also tell us what we are specifically commanded not to do. These four "Kurehits", which necessiate the retaking of the Khande Da Pahul are -

1. Violating the sanctity of hair. (kesh Katal)
2. Eating meat prepared by slow killing of an animal. (Kurtha Meat)
3. Infidelity to one's spouse.
4. Usage of tobacco.

It is upto the person who originally asked the question to determine whether the meat that was consumed was Kutha or not, and hence determine whether a kurheit has been committed or not.

Accordingly the decision to present oneself or not before the Paanj again to seek the blessings of the Khande Da Pahul can be made.

Sat Siri Akaal. The first answer was perhaps too vague. In the specific case, the person cannot be faulted for eating meat when s/he could find nothing else available initially at university. This person did not commit an intentional act to break Amrit by eating meat. Intention or wilfully ignoring one's Amrit vows is kurehit. Being in angst over what to eat and needing to take care of the body is not. Thanks for your reply.
