I am a sikh but we go to nirankari sangats along with the gurdwara. I have found that if one proclaims to be a nirankari they are also sikh. I have found know one to proclaim that their baba ji is a guru but rather a teacher. After speaking to the nirankaris my self they had stated that some fundamentalists have put a bad portrayal on nirankari sikhs. In fact all nirankaris believe and follow the guru granth sahib more so than most sikhs. They are against sikhs that follow the caste system and they follow the granth to the fullest. The nirankaris follow the 10 gurus to the fullest, you may ask why then do they not just simply attend gurdwara, well the answer is simply politics that come in gurdwaras. In B.C canada our community is divided over tables and chairs rather than simply following our gurus teachings. I am sikh and only sikh, and I can tell you that nirankaris are sikh also and every nirankari I have met is also sikh.
