I Have a question that has been in my mind for days, and i really need it answered.
It all started a few days ago when i was coming home from school. 3 black guys come out of nowhere and attacked me. One of them grabbed me and held me back whilst the other 2 robbed my stuff and knocked my pagg off. But anyway, they finally let me go after beating me up, and i started running after them, they turned around and tried to have another go, but this time i used my kara as a sort of 'knuckle-duster', but i only managed to get a few blows in before they knocked it out of my hand, so i then decided to pull out my 4foot kirpan, at the site of this, the 3 guys decided to run. But when i got home, i told my family what had happened and they went mental when i said i had used my kara in such a way.
Could you tell me if it is ok to use my kara like this in self defence, and is it ok to pull out my kirpan like that. It seems that nobody can answer me these questions.
By the way, i love this discussion forum, it is very good and i have learnt a lot through reading the various questions. We had a similar forum that was played over the radio direct from Guru Nanak Ji Gurdwara, which is in Smethwick, Birmingham UK, but this unfortunately didnt last long because of poor funding.
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
Greetings and blessings to you in the Name of God and Guru.
Good job! It is absolutely OK what you did. That was 3 on one and you defended yourself valiantly. Bravo!
