WJKK, WJKF

I'm hoping you can enlighten me. My husband and I went through many tough times before our marriage to prove our devotion to each other. He is very determined, loyal and headstrong, yet gentle and loving too. My problem is, whenever he is stressed, I am hurt emotionally. I ask him what's wrong, he opens up to me, but he doesn't want to hear my advice. I try to guide him in a calm and patient way but he gets angry and I get hurt physically. I have full fafaith that he is the one i am meant to be with, and him and our daughters are the most important things in my life. I know he loves me too but how can I bring guru ji to him and help him find peace while at the same time gain my self respect again?

Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa,
Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh.

A man does not want advice. He just wants someone to listen to him. Unless he specifically asks for you to advise him, just be patient, listen to him and let it go. Women are much more intuitive then men-so we often see the solutions to their problems long before they do. However, that is the test for a woman in marriage. She needs to let her husband make his own mistakes and allow Guru to guide him in Guru's time. Just the fact that he can talk to you is what he needs. Be there to listen to his problems. If he wants your advice and asks for it-give it him. Otherwise, just let it go. It will save both of you a lot of stress. Guru is guiding him, and Guru is with you. Trust Guru to arrange the affairs of your marriage and let your husband figure out what he need in his own time.

I hope this is helful.

Sincerely,

GPK

Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa,
Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh.
